…and hopefully a partially new me! I say partial because I don’t want to change everything about me, I kinda like me, just some things.
Well, since I last blogged, I phase 1 of my reconstruction surgery. It went well but it hurt like the dickens and was slow to heal but I do believe I’m back on track. Now I’m not as lopsided as I was before!!
Yesterday I started back working out for the first time in over two months. I pushed myself to work out an extra 5 minutes. Yep, I said 5 minutes…instead of 30 minutes I completed 35 minutes, well actually 39 minutes if you count the 2 minute cool down on both the treadmill and elyptical. Well actual 41 minutes if you also count the 2 minutes I wasted on the elyptical trying to fix the volume on my machine before I gave up and went to another one. But, I felt good afterwards. Baby steps. Yes, I will gradually get back to my marathon training, I just have to build my cardio back up and lose some more weight so my knees don’t give out on me. Oh, I say lose some more becaue I did lose a few pounds while recouperating. 🙂 Hey…whatever it takes!
My commitment is to meditate daily to exercise my mind and spirit and workout five times a week to get this body into shape. I get my implants in March or April so I need to be looking good! heh, heh, heh
